The Emerald and Ivory Debutante Cotillion, hosted by the Essex County (NJ) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is an esteemed event that showcases the debutante's achievements in leadership and service.

The Debutante Leadership Program provides experiences that prepare the debutantes for leadership with a focus on the African American community.  During the twelve-month journey, the debutantes will participate in educational, cultural, social and community services activities.  

For more than two decades, the Essex County Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, has, through its Emerald and Ivory Debutante Cotillion, created a special place where outstanding young women in our community learn to lead with Excellence and serve with Grace.

The Cotillion is a spectacular evening where guests honor the debutantes' introduction into society, dine and dance and acknowledge their extraordinary achievements.  Proceeds from the Cotillion provide scholarships for the debutantes and support Essex County (NJ) Chapter's award winning community service programs.
